Careers and IAG

Welcome to George Pindar School’s Careers Information Advice and Guidance.

This is where you can find impartial careers advice and information, dates for open days and events, links to education providers plus much more.

George Pindar School provides a comprehensive programme of careers education information, advice and guidance. Our Library provides a large selection of prospectuses and guides and you are welcome to visit as many times as you wish. We are pleased that we have a dedicated Careers Adviser, Mrs J Bilton, who can be contacted via email at: j.bilton@gps.hlt.academy

If you require more support, speak to Mrs Prentice, our Careers Leader, or Mrs Bilton, our Careers Adviser, who can arrange for further Careers Guidance – there is rarely only one route to a career and there may be alternatives that you are not aware of. It doesn’t matter what school year you are in, it is never too early to begin researching your options.

This is your future; it is important that you make informed choices. A Careers Guidance interview can help you with your next steps - our Careers Adviser, Mrs Jo Bilton, is in school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Baker Clause Policy Statement

George Pindar School adheres to the Baker Clause Policy Statement stipulating that schools must ensure that a “range of education and training providers” have access to students from Year 7 to Year 13 so that the students can be informed of the technical education and apprenticeships options that are available to them post 16.

Information for Employers

Here at George Pindar School, we are always looking at ways to engage with a range of employers. Our doors are always open, because we are passionate about helping our students to meet inspirational people in different jobs and career paths.

If you would like to work with our students, we’d love to hear from you. We strive to offer a wide range of employer-led activities: Assemblies, Careers Fair, mock interviews, ‘Meet the Professional’ sessions, visits and much more. We are always open to new ideas and would love you to contact us to see how we can work together!
